Burgenland is shaped by viticulture and gentle tourism, above all around Lake Neusiedl and the thermal spa region in the south. Eisenstadt forms the economic and administrative centre as the state capital. The region lives strongly from seasonal peaks: tourism from spring to autumn and the grape harvest in late summer create demand for cleaning and service staff concentrated in time — often at short notice and closely tied to the weather.
